Shadow Danglebits

Shadow is a humanoid water genasi rogue with a charlatan’s flair, driven by whims and a disregard for rules or consequences. With pale blue skin adorned with striking holy symbolic tattoos, Shadow is as enigmatic as they are adaptable. A master of disguise and deception, Shadow frequently adopts the persona of "Francesca," a false identity with fully forged documentation and established connections, to navigate precarious situations. Shadow’s flirtatious charm, quick wit, and knack for deception make them a formidable con artist, but their greed and penchant for risk often leave a trail of chaos. They grew up in Nerithal Isle, a coral mining town near Corellon's Crown, as the youngest of 11 children in the wealthy but morally gray Laguin-affiliated Danglebits family. Despite their privileged roots, Shadow fell in with the Dervish, a theatrical gang of gentleman thieves, after their mother, Hesha Danglebits, mysteriously disappeared.

Shadow’s life took a darker turn when the rival gang The Wraiths, led by the cunning Elaith Eldrid, blackmailed them into stealing from their father, Looming Stan, the owner of the Looming Vessel Company. Shadow swindled their father out of his fortune, leading to the family’s financial ruin and the eventual acquisition of the company by Phorus-Racos, Inc.. Shadow carries deep guilt for this betrayal, and their brother Swol Danglebits is the only one who knows the truth. Now, Shadow is on a personal quest for redemption: to find and return their mother to the family, hoping to mend the fractures they caused and restore balance to their life. Along the way, Shadow’s silver tongue, aquatic agility, and penchant for deception remain both their greatest strengths and most dangerous flaws.
