Sikorrak Gear Errata

  1. Guns/Armor
    1. Most weapons are made with local materials, though sometimes they are enhanced with off-world technology.
    2. Gunpowder is very rare on Sikorrak and fossil fuels don't exist, but renewable electricity (wind turbines, solar, geothermal, wave-paddles, etc.) is common
      1. Laser guns, Gauss/coil guns, and plasma guns are more common among military/militia units and interplanetary merchants
      2. Sonic weapons are sometimes sold as home-defense weapons
      3. Most weapons available on the planet are traditional mechanical weapons
        1. Often considered more reliable, honorable, etc., and a sign of a local vs. an off-worlder
        2. Saltwater damages electronics etc.
  2. BATTERY DETAILS
    1. Capacitors are frequently used in place of batteries where renewable energy is available but variable
    2. High-quality batteries manufactured off-world with many recharge cycles are quite expensive, but are available
      1. Each battery has a certain amount of energy called “Amps.” Weapons and equipment will use a certain number of Amps per use.
      2. Weapon/Gear batteries are fairly large, and recharge only over a long-rest with available power
      3. They come in three capacities:
        1. Degraded
          1. 12 Amps
          2. 20 GP
        2. Standard
          1. 24 Amps
          2. 50 GP
        3. Expanded
          1. 48 amps
          2. 120 GP
      4. Some devices (comms unit, taser, etc.) have a non-user-replaceable battery, take 1 Amp to recharge, and can recharge over a short rest.
    3. Tech weapons are either weak and sip power or powerful with only a couple of shots per charge. Batteries of this size and capacity start at 50GP.
    4. Energy shields provide additional deflective AC as a reaction, but consume significant electrical power for each use.
      1. Personal Shield: 750 gp - Cast “Shield” as a reaction, consuming one charge. Consumes the power from one whole battery.
    5. Every-day technology (communication devices), unless specifically noted, drain their power over the course of a day, and requires recharging or replacement each night.
  3. Arrow Varieties and their prices
    1. I haven't reviewed it in depth, so double-check with me for any arrows you want to buy off of it.
    2. Arrows with the (Magical) designation may also exist using technology, and function/cost the same, but are not considered magical for purposes of damage reduction.
    3. Additionally, some arrows (like the rope arrow) will be shot with disadvantage or significantly reduce the range of the weapon.
